Abstract
The Plasma cell leukemia(PCL) is a very rare form of plasma cell dyscrasia, may be
classified as primary when it is diagnosed in the leukemic phase or as secondary when
there is leukemic transfor-mation of a previously recognized multiple myeloma.
Approximately 60% of patients have the pri-mary form. The diagnostic criteria include
more than 20% plasma cells in the peripheral blood or an absolute plasma cell count of
at least 2,000/§§ in conjunction with a neoplastic plasma cell prolife- ration. Treatment
of PCL is unsatisfactory. We experienced one case of PCL with IgG lambda type in
serum immunoelectrophoresis and reported one case of PCL with brief review of
literature.
